Interesting post and story. Concerning “Space Ethics”, I was just wondering if there's been any discussion surrounding Elon Musk's and SpaceX's capture of low-earth orbit and how his ubiquitous Starlink satellites continue to degrade the night sky to the point where ground-based astronomy is facing an existential threat? Keep up the great work!
Are you familiar with the IAU Centre for the Protection of the Dark and Quiet Sky from Satellite Constellation Interference (CPS)? https://cps.iau.org/

That organization grew out of (among other things) the SATCON (https://www.noirlab.edu/public/products/techdocs/techdoc003/) and SATCON2 (https://doi.org/10.3847/25c2cfeb.4554c01f) workshops, which brought together astronomers (and in SATCON2, other stakeholders) concerned about the impact of satellite megaconstellations on the night sky.
